It's so ridiculous to make a car that is already fitted with a manual so easily in base form is a limited run sport-manual option.  What in the world makes the manual so much harder to fit in the enthusiasts version?  Ya know what?  Sonic 1.4T all day, RS or not.  The fact is, the Rio SX still won't be the joy to drive that the Sonic reads out to be.  The Koreans have long had issues getting the actual dynamics down, so throwing a manual in this does nothing to improve my view of the car otherwise.  It's already been determined it's lackluster for an enthusiast in a subcompact market, and that cars like the Mazda2, Sonic, Fit, and even (of all things) the SX4 or Yaris would be better suited for us.
