A month after officially bowing in Chicago, Fiat has hung a price tag on the 2014 Ram ProMaster van, and it starts at $ 27,025 including a $ 995 destination fee. The 2014 Ram ProMaster 3500 cargo van with a 159-inch wheelbase, high roof, and extended body will set you back $ 37,145. The addition of the Ram ProMaster van lineup coincides with Chrysler Groupâs recent expansion of Ram Commercial, another channel of Ram Trucks that caters to the commercial customer.
This new branch, Ram Commercial, bases the all-new 2014 Ram ProMaster van off of the Fiat Ducato. That means each ProMaster variant is front-wheel drive while a 3.0-liter four-cylinder EcoDiesel and Chrysler Groupâs 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine are available. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission which is responsible for redirecting 174 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque generated from the diesel and 280 hp and 260 lb-ft from the Pentastar application, respectively, to the front wheels. The 2014 Ram ProMaster van also claims that its new work van boasts class-leading features like fuel economy, cargo capacity, payload, total cost of ownership, turning radius, interior ceiling height, and step-in height. Ram expects to attract customers who work in fields like construction, transportation, and those who own a small business.
Ram is also known for being one of the more friendly brands for upfitters making it easy to tack on features like a dump bed or a crane. BusinessLink, a program that locates Chrysler Group dealerships all over the country, is also included on every Ram ProMaster model. In all, there are 750 dealerships in the BusinessLink network. BusinessLink includes features like a 24/7 towing service, free loaner vehicles (depending on particular ProMaster models), and extended service hours.
