2014 Toyota Highlander Debuting at New York Auto Show

Toyota announced today that it will debut the third-generation 2014 Toyota Highlander at this month’s New York Auto Show. However, aside from simply saying that it will, in fact be at the show, the company has said virtually nothing.

Which means we get to speculate.

We’re assuming that the 2014 Toyota Highlander will get the same “sporty” makeover as other recent Toyota vehicles, such as the new Avalon, RAV4 and the Corolla Furia concept. It’s a safe bet that Toyota will retain the Highlander’s seven-passenger capacity, and possibly expand it up to eight. We can also assume fresh and more aggressive exterior styling, an upgraded interior with better materials, and a host of new technology as well. As for us, we’d put better cargo capacity on our wish list, along with a more tightly controlled suspension, better fuel economy for the hybrid, and more room for second- and third-row occupants.

Of course, we don’t know if any of that will come to pass, but be sure to check out what we do know about the 2014 Toyota Highlander, and come back as we learn more info.
