Well, tickle me pink and call me Sir Nigel Featherstonehaugh-Smythe. Autocar Magazine is reporting that the Alfa Romeo 4C, which was officially revealed in production form on Tuesday, will be powered by a 1.75-liter turbocharged engine pushing out 237bhp in standard guise.
And we quote news editor / journalist Mark Tisshaw: "Information leaked by Alfa dealers in Switzerland suggests the 4C will be offered with 237bhp in its initial launch guise."
The magazine went one step further adding that 2,500 cars will be produced, with North America and Europe each receiving 1,000 units per year, and the rest to be allocated around the world.
Furthermore, Autocar said: "This production run will include the other models in the 4Câs range that the Swiss dealer source revealed. In 2014, a track-only Racing version of the car will be introduced, with a road-going Stradale version of that car set to follow with 266bhp. A convertible will crown the line-up later in 2014."
We have absolutely no idea â"COUGH, COUGH, COUGH- where Autocar and Mark Tisshaw found all these juicy "insider details", but being the "The World's Oldest Car Magazine" must surely mean that they have complete trust in their UNNAMED sourceâ¦
