With the debacle of the economic crash, the 2009 Kia Forte was a victim of bad timing, even though Kia had finally gotten its compact sedan right. With the all-new 2014 Kia Forte comes upmarket styling of a European sedan thatâs longer, wider, and lower than the model it replaces.
Positioned as one of the sportier cars in its class, the 2014 was judged as such when driven by Jacob Brown. âIt felt planted in corners, that is, we felt we could drive it harder than we did and itâd be fine.â Continuing with the sporty feel, Kiaâs FlexSteer system adjusts the effort needed to steer the car between Normal, Sport, and Comfort settings.
The 2014 Kia Forte is going to be a tough car to beat, as it is a jack of all trades. Although itâs not a master of any trade, the Forte is compelling and decently fun to drive and looks to be the total package. The Forte goes on sale this March, but until then, read the rest of Jacobâs First Drive to see what else the 2014 Kia Forte has to offer.
