Behind the Wheel: 2013 Honda Civic

Behind the Wheel: 2013 Honda Civic

The new 2013 Honda Civic, complete with an extensive model update, answers virtually all complaints about the 2012 version. According to Jacob Brown, who recently drove the new Civic, the only question regarding the new Civic is, “Why couldn’t the ninth-generation Civic have been this good from the get-go?”

Debuting at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show, the 2013 Honda Civic was intended as a mid-cycle refresh, but with the 2012 Civic being a complete dudâ€"at least to criticsâ€"Honda decided to push up the redesign timetable to produce the new Civic. New standard features on the entry-level model range from a backup camera, Bluetooth, and Honda’s i-MID infotainment screen on the dash.

With an interior filled with rich and soft-touch plastics, the 2013 Honda Civic is definitely more than a step up from where recession-minded cost cutters left it. Although it isn’t without its flaws, it once again has a feeling of quality, refinement, and a feeling of solidity one comes to expect when driving a Honda. Head over to Jacob’s Road Test to hear what else he has to say on the seriously updated 2013 Honda Civic.
