Acura has been busy over the past 48 hours unveiling NSX concept 2.0, the 2014 MDX prototype, and now, the automaker is announcing prices for the 2014 Acura RLX. For starters, the base 2014 Acura RLX goes for $ 49,345 and brings a 3.5-liter V-6 engine rated at 310 horsepower along with it. Power is directed to the rear wheels courtesy of a reworked six-speed automatic transmission. The 2014 Acura RLX is available in five different trims, with a Sport Hybrid Super Handling All-Wheel Drive variant on the way later this year.
Standard features on the base 2014 Acura RLX include satellite radio, USB ports, auxiliary jacks, a 10-speaker audio system, Forward Collision Warning, and Lane Departure Warning. No matter the trim level, the RLX comes standard with Acura’s redesigned headlights and the automaker’s Precision All-Wheel Steer system. You can opt for dual eight-inch navigation and seven-inch entertainment screens, an additional $ 2,500 and slide into the RLX with navigation trim at $ 51,845. Opting for the RLX with Technology Package gets all of those aforementioned features plus a 14-speaker audio system will set you back $ 55,345. If you just so happen to be the conductor of the Boston Symphony Orchestra or just really enjoy music, then you may want to go for the Krell and Advance trim levels. The Krell trim level will set you back $ 57,845 while the Advance trim goes for $ 61,345.
Optional features on the 2014 Acura RLX include Adaptive Cruise Control, front and rear parking sensors, Blind Spot Information, and a rear-view camera. Additional optional features include the latest AcuraLink system, climate control, and a power sunroof. While we wait for the EPA to rate the 2014 Acura RLX, the automaker itself estimates 20 mpg city and 31 mpg highway. The RLX hybrid is estimated to get 30 mpg both city and highway.
The first of the 2014 Acura RLX models are scheduled to begin arriving at dealerships in March. Hybrid models are expected to follow soon after.
