The powertrain is a deal breaker unless you can cough up the money for the 350. Naturally aspirated V6 engines under 3.0L displacement have no place in today's automotive world. The 2.5L V6 is a "state of 2007" technology demonstrator, and an engine of that displacement with up to date cam phasing should put out around 230hp and 200 ft-lbs. Considerably more than it currently does.
This vehicle is in dire need of a midrange engine offering around 260hp and 250 ftlbs; similar to the 3 series and ATS. I could forgive them for offering the 2.5 V6 if such an offering existed as it would go head to head with the 2.5 ATS and 320i.
As it is, they dont offer a midrange engine and the IS250 is most likely the volume seller. That said I would take the fleet service 2.5 ATS over an IS250 any day of the week simply because its a proven chassis with a state of the art 200hp NA 2.5L mill for roughly the same price.
