New Vauxhall Cascada Priced from £23,995, Nearly £8,000 Less than the Audi A5 Cabrio

The new four-seat open top model from Vauxhall and its sister company Opel named the Cascada, will be priced from £23,995 OTR when it reaches UK showrooms this April.

Vauxhall says the soft-top convertible represents a superb value for money citing the price of its nearest competitor in the segment, the Audi A5 Cabriolet, which starts at £31,785 or nearly £8,000 more.

In all fairness, the base Audi sports a more powerful 168hp (170PS) 1.8-liter turbo petrol, whereas the entry-level Cascada makes do with a 1.4-liter turbo petrol churning out 138hp (140PS), but then again, even the most potent and expensive version of Vauxhall's cabrio with a 192hp (195PS) twin-turbocharged diesel is lower priced at £29,080.

Besides these two engines, the Cascada is also available with a new 1.6-liter Turbo petrol churning out 168Hp (170PS), and a 2.0-liter turbo diesel with 163Hp (165PS).

Vauxhall's convertible model comes in two trims, with the entry level SE featuring 18-inch alloy wheels, LED tail lamps, aux-in/USB, and other comfort amenities as standard, while the upper-level Elite adds leather trim, heated front seats and steering wheel, and front fog lamps. Detailed pricing follows below.
