Despite not making a success story of the 5-Series GT, which hasn't really sold in particularly large numbers, BMW is trying again, this time with a smaller version of the same concept. This review by Autoexpress is the first we've seen of the most practical member of the 3-Series family, the GT, and if we were to judge it by it alone, it actually makes a bit of sense.
It is the most expensive 3-Series body style you can buy, but it offers a longer wheelbase, more interior space and a larger boot than that of the Touring. It also provides passengers with 5-Series levels of rear legroom, and with the softer suspension, it is also closer to it in terms of comfort.
The 3-series GT comes with a powered hatch at the back, which can be opened by waving your foot under the rear bumper. There's also a rear spoiler that rises when on the move â" it looks quite cool, and while it may be misleading since this is not a sporty BMW, it does go well with the design of the rear.
Check out the full video below, for the full detailed presentation of the car.
